KÖPPE CONTEMPORARY – Gallery concept
The gallery Köppe Contemporary, founded in 2010, is located in an Art Nouveau villa in Berlin-Grunewald. It represents established, internationally renowned artists, as well as exciting young positions and new discoveries. In addition, the gallery is dedicated to minimalist post-war art.
Köppe Contemporary is a member of the Galleries Association of Berlin (LVBG). It is closely connected to the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin / UdK). In this way, it also expresses its commitment to artistic education and young artists. One of the gallery’s aims is to promote young, ambitious artists who, after their academic education or from self-taught beginnings, convince with exciting art, new ideas and a high potential for qualitative development.
The focus of the gallery’s work is on contemporary art in the genres of painting, sculpture and new media. An important concern is to position the artists it represents at a high level on the national and international market by exhibitions, participation in art fairs and systematic public relations work. In addition to the exhibitions, the gallery publishes catalogs.
